Scholarship
The scholarship is an educational scholarship
of $500 per individual paid to a 2nd year student. The scholarship
is to help bring young people into the electrical industry. The application is
sent out in October or November, and we award the scholarship in January.
Selection is based on academic qualities, essay questions and answers. We try
to bring people back into our communities. The scholarship committee members
usually rotate off one or two at a time. This helps keep continuity in the
scholarship program. In the event of a tie or a difficult decision, the vice
chairman can step in and assist in the decision. The chapter can award up to
three scholarships based on the chapter’s financial situation.
