	The Redlin Art Center in Watertown is a gift from world-famous artist Terry Redlin to the state of South Dakota and his hometown. More than 130 of Redlin's original oil paintings are featured within the three-story gallery. A 30-acre wildlife refuge with walking trails and gazebos, a state-of-the-art Domed Theater, and a gift shop can be enjoyed.
	McCrory Gardens, part of the horticultural department of South Dakota State University in Brookings, exhibits thousands of colorful flowers in a walk-through park.

A “touch and feel” exhibit is one of the educational experiences available at the Bramble Park Zoo in Watertown. More than 500 mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, fish and invertebrates make their home at the zoo.

May 2010 Newsletter

This month’s meeting is May 18^th 7:00 PM at the Brookings Skeet Range.

Driving directions to Brookings Skeet Range.

From the Brookings exit of interstate 29 (exit 133), drive 2 ½ miles east on highway 14. The skeet range is on the north side of the road at 475^th Ave. If you get to the road going to Aurora, you went 1 mile east too far.

We will have Carol Tigges from Borders States Electric giving a class on lighting and lighting programs. This will be good for 2 hours of non-code.

This is our last meeting before summer break and we decided to have steaks, potato salad, and beans. Our chef will also have some appetizers available. Because of this I will need a head count. So please RSVP before May 10^th if you plan on coming.

Please do not forget about this year’s annual conference. If you need code hours, this is one of the best places to get it.

2010 SDEC Conference will be in Pierre, SD on May 7 & 8, 2010
